Property for Sale in Sant Pere de Ribes
real estate in Sant Pere de Ribes, Garraf
Sant Pere de Ribes is a town of about 31,000 people in the Garraf, four kilometres inland from Sitges. It has two centres, Ribes and Les Roquetes, and is where buyers go for a larger house and garden than the same budget reaches on the coast.
The town sits behind the coastal hills, close enough that the Sitges beaches are a ten-minute drive and far enough that prices settle. It grew around two separate cores: Ribes, the older centre below the castle and the church of Sant Pere, and Les Roquetes, the larger and more modern of the two.
Between the two towns lie the urbanisations, Vallpineda and Can Lloses among them, where most of the detached villa stock is. Housing runs from village townhouses in the old centre to family villas with gardens and pools on the slopes, and the range of ages and conditions is wide.
The C-32 puts Barcelona within about forty minutes and El Prat airport within thirty. The C-15 runs inland to Vilafranca and the Penedes wine country.

Frequently asked questions
Is Sant Pere de Ribes a good place to buy near Sitges?
It is the usual answer for buyers who want a detached house with a garden and find Sitges itself too expensive for the space. The beaches are ten minutes by car and the town has its own schools, shops and services rather than being a dormitory.
How far is Sant Pere de Ribes from Sitges?
About four kilometres, roughly ten minutes by car. The two towns share the Garraf comarca and much of the same buyer market.
What is the difference between Ribes and Les Roquetes?
Ribes is the older centre, below the castle and the church of Sant Pere, with village houses and narrower streets. Les Roquetes is larger, more modern, and has more apartment stock.
Is it cheaper than Sitges?
Yes, consistently, for equivalent space. How much cheaper depends on whether you are comparing an urbanisation villa or a flat in the centre, so ask for comparables on the specific street.
