Hamptons was established in 1869 on Pall Mall East in London, in premises it shared with the National Gallery. More than a century and a half later it remains one of the most recognised names in British residential property, with over eighty offices across London and the south of England.
Since 2021 Hamptons has been part of Connells Group, the largest estate-agency and property-services group in the United Kingdom. In 2025 the group was involved in around 86,000 property transactions, roughly one in ten home moves in the country. It is a name recognised far beyond the United Kingdom.
